Skier In The Mountains

Quick Guide to Les Gets

The Les Gets ski area is part of the famous Portes du Soliel. This is one of the most vast ski areas in the Europe with 650km of skiable terrain. The runs are varied and quickly accessible with the three main lifts in walking distance of the town centre.

The Perriers lift at the bottom end of the resort is a popular choice to reach the first set of slopes, as well as the Chavannes chair, a six-man chair lift taking riders up to 1,600 meters and a great point to explore the rest of the area. You can also take the telecabin/bubble up to the same point which proves popular for those wanting to meet friends and family for lunch on the plateau up there.

The Portes du Soliel Ski pass gives you access to the Swiss and French parts of the area, although you’ll need to ski over to Morzine and take another bubble to Avoriaz to get over to the Swiss side. There are plans to build a new connection to make this trip easier and faster for visitors although it’s a few years off being completed. Many will simply take a bus over to Ardent the large cable car that takes you to the Lindert bowl and giving quick access to Chatel and Les Crosets.
