Summer Activities in Morzine and Les Gets

Morzine and Les Gets offer a huge variety of summer activities that cater for all ages and interests.
Over the past few years resorts have invested more and more on the summer season and have really transformed the offering, to make these mountain resorts a very desirable spot for a summer holiday.
So we’ve compiled a summer activities guide, so you can discover the wonders that Morzine and Les Gets has to offer.
Morzine Pool Childrens Area

Morzine has its very own swimming complex. Just like any good holiday destination you’ll find water slides, a special kids zone with splash pools, in addition to the Olympic sized heated pool. Surrounding the pool area you’ll find plenty of sunbathing spots on the grass or sun loungers, and you can even partake in some volleyball on the sand. Plus there’s a pool inside if the weather isn’t fitting, as well as spa, sauna and snack bar. Located in the centre of Morzine under the suspension bridge this picturesque spot is perfect for staying cool on a hot summer day.

With numerous businesses offering courses or single flight trips, paragliding has got to be the best way to see the sights. With incredible views over Mont Blanc, the Dents Blanches and the Dents du Midi, getting a birds eye view will leave you wanting more of this extreme sport. Anyone over the age of four can get involved in tandem flights with expert instructors, Paragliding in Morzine will really get your heart racing and will definitely tick the box for thrill seekers.

Located at the Parc des Dérêches near the swimming complex down by the river, you’ll find an equestrian riding centre, nestled in the heart of the forest with varying treks to explore the area. It’s well equipped for all ages and abilities, you can book in for a pony ride, lesson, evening hacks and even have the option of an over night stay in an alpine lodge.

For climbing you can head to Valle D’Aulps, just a 10 minute drive from Morzine you’ll find numerous rock faces to conquer. Book time with the experts at Frogs Rafting to learn the ropes, all skill levels welcome and initiations session available with the aim for you to be able to eventually climb on your own.

Alternatively the tourist office can recommend groups and lessons as well as instructors that will be happy to act as a guides, showing you the best climbing spots in the area.

Golf Morzine


In addition to Mini Golf at Hotel L’aubergarde. There are a couple of incredible golf courses to get stuck into. Les Gets has and 18 hole course nested the forests with each hole named after a summit, there’s a terrace and restaurant if you work up an appetite too.

Alternately head to the Morzine Avoriaz Course, just before you reach Avoriaz the course is on the Proclous piste. There are practice holes and putting greens and they can set you up with all the gear if your haven’t got your own clubs with you.

Yoga Mountains
Yoga & Pilates

Head down to Mountain Rehab in the Aiglon building for a plethora of fitness classes as well as Yoga and Pilates groups for all ages and disciplines. The complex also offers a gym and sauna plus a variety of massage treatments from highly qualified physiotherapists.

Morzine Luge

Summer Sledging

If you fancy hurling yourself down the front of the Pleney piste in the heart of Morzine, then this one is for you. When the snow melts after winter, revealed is the Summer Luge. There are 2 different lengths and children from age 3 can get involved - just be sure to use your breaks!


Adult: 5 € (6 tickets 27€ 10 tickets 42€ Unlimited for 2 hours from 10.30 to 12.30* 30€ (price per person)) Child: 5 €  Children (3-8 years) go free but must be accompanied by an adult.

Dates From July to the end of August, between 10.30am and 6pm.


Helicopter Tours

What better way to see the resort than from the sky, with dedicated tours to show you the sites including Mont Blanc, a helicopter ride in the Alps would make your trip truly special.

Paintball Morzine
Paint Ball


Located between Morzine and St Jean D’aulps, the Paintball grounds are run by the Indiana Adventures team and are set in the forest by the river. 

It’s the perfect setting for 2 teams to pelt each other with paintballs using air powdered paintball guns, the natural and man made barriers and hide outs make for a great game!

Morzine Ice Skating

Ice Skating

Head down to Morzine Skoda area and get your skates on. The large rink is usually used for hosting Ice Hockey matches but it opens its doors for everyone to enjoy the cool in the summer heat. You can rent ice skates there and they have a snack bar, stick around if there’s and ice hockey match on, they are not to be missed.

Tennis Morzine


There are 9 tennis courts located down in the Parc de Dereches. The Morzine tennis club offers clay courts, hard courts as well as practice walls. You can rent all the gear there if it didn’t fit it in your hand luggage, plus if you feel like booking a lesson to brush up on your tennis game then they can help with that too.

More Rafting

White Water Activities

The river running down to lake Geneva offers some of the best white water activities in the area. There are loads of really exciting ways you and the whole family can get involved and enjoy the scenery whilst on the river. 

With so much choice you may want to pick more that one activity to try but to start with why not give the rafting a go. You can also do cannoning, canorafting and if you're brave enough hydro speeding! This is where you have your own float and flippers and follow a guide down the river, think of them as mini white water sleds. Sounds crazy but is seriously good fun!
